Biography:

Ray Kennamer is completing his ninth year of service on the Albertville City Council (as of 2025), where he focuses on critical public services including recycling, city cemeteries, waste management, and infrastructure improvements. A lifelong resident of Albertville, Ray brings more than four decades of construction experience to the table—serving as President of Ray Kennamer Construction, Inc. for the past 31 years.

A 1979 graduate of Albertville High School, Ray continued his education at Snead State Community College and has remained committed to the betterment of his hometown throughout his career. His deep civic involvement includes 30 years of membership with the Albertville Chamber of Commerce, where he served on the Board of Directors for four years and as Chairman for one. He is also a past President of the Marshall County Homebuilder’s Board and dedicated a decade to the Albertville City Schools Board, serving seven years as its President.

Ray and his wife of nearly 40 years, Connie (Elmore) Kennamer, are proud parents to three children—Annie, Kelly, and Hope—and grandparents to eight. They are active members of the Church of the Highlands (Gadsden campus). Outside of his professional and public service roles, Ray enjoys golfing and spending time with his growing family.
