Why?

The City of Albertville realizes the importance of retail development because we understand that additional shopping and dining options are vital to our economy as we strive to increase the City's sales tax base and enhance the quality of life for citizens and visitors.  Therefore, Economic Development staff welcomes the opportunity to discuss retail, dining, hospitality and entertainment options with clients, brokers or developers.

Trade Area

Albertville is the largest municipality in the County and trade area which extends to a 20 mile radius and includes our sister cities of Boaz and Guntersville in addition to those communities in DeKalb, Etowah and Blount Counties that travel to Albertville for employment, health care, shopping or personal business.

Even with the current retail development that is occurring in Albertville, there are still areas of retail leakage that would allow for additional growth.  Leakage reports prove that there is dire need for fast casual and full service dining options in addition to, specialty food and hotels to name a few.
