The Albertville Museum opened in the Little Branch Primitive Church building in January 2012. The museum is located at 610 West Main Street across from the historic 'Old Albertville Cemetery'. The building housing the museum stands on the spot where Albertville's first church and school were built (ca.1850). Both were called Jones Chapel, as was the community.
An Albertville City Council appointed Museum Board is responsible for the day to day operations of the museum. The Albertville Museum Foundation owns all artifacts and assists the board with operation, inventory and events at the museum. The museum is operated on a volunteer basis.
The Albertville Museum Foundation strives to preserve and protect the history of the City of Albertville. Some ways we are attempting to preserve history are through collection and display of artifacts and memorabilia related to the educational, commercial, agricultural, industrial, social and governmental facets of the City of Albertville.
